16 March 2020: This post replaces the previous post from 14th March.
The committee are closely monitoring the current situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
Following the latest Government advice, we intend to continue with the club rides. However, official Sunday rides will, for now, not feature a cafe stop. We feel this a prudent step, both to protect the health of our members, but also that of the wider community.
We appreciate that is this may not be to everyone’s liking, but we have a moral responsibility to look after the health and welfare of our riders. We ask members to remain vigilant about their own health and to follow the official guidance from Public Health England and the NHS 111 service.
We will post updates regarding the situation as it develops.
